In respect of Honourable Abdul Sattar Edhi

Edhi the great

Edhi

Pakistanis face lot of problems in their everyday life because of the uncontrollable terrorism, electricity load shedding and inflation. In these difficult  circumstances Edhi Foundation is a ray of hope for the citizens of our beloved motherland. Abdul Sattar Edhi is a living angel who established the world’s largest private ambulance service in Karachi in 1951. The great man didn’t get any assistance from any political party or the government and started serving the community with the help of donations from fellow citizens.

The Edhi Foundation provides 24-hour emergency assistance across the nation of Pakistan and abroad. The Foundation provides, among many other services, shelter for the destitute, free hospitals and medical care, drug rehabilitation services, and national and international relief efforts. Its main focuses are Emergency Services, Orphans, Handicapped Persons, Shelters, Education, Healthcare, International Community Centres, Blood & Drug Bank, air ambulance services, Marine and Coastal Services. (Source: Wikipedia)

Last week a very sad incident took place when some unknown robbers broke into a centre of Edhi Foundation located in Khara Dar, Karachi. Edhi sahib himself was there. The intruders were holding ammunition and asked the staff to hand them the keys. Edhi sahib requested them for not robbing charity money and jewellery but they didn’t listen to him and made him silent by giving the death threat. They looted a large amount of money and the jewellery and fled from the spot without any resistance.

This incident broke the heart of our beloved angel and he went into severe depression. Being a loyal Pakistani I also felt very sad and remained upset for some days after reading this news. However I feel sorry to say that unfortunately we have black sheep in our Islamic community. There are such brutal people in us who do the pickpocketing even in Holy Ka’aba during Hajj and Umrah’s. We have people in us who kill others without any reason, or for a mobile phone or a little money. We have people in us who rob jewellery from the bodies of dead persons. This is the reason of our downfall that we have no strong law and order in Pakistan due to which our nation saw this sad day when most undisputed and respectable man faced this bad incident.

Recently Malala Yousafzai has been awarded with the Nobel Prize and many Pakistani people on Facebook and Twitter are comparing her with Abdul Sattar Edhi sahib. They are of the view that Edhi sahib deserves this award much higher than Malala. Being an independent and unbiased writer I have concluded that Nobel Prize is not given justifiably. The committee is driven by some influential personalities.

Honourable Abdul Sattar Edhi himself is an organisation whose worth is much higher than Nobel Prize. I feel that Pakistani government must launch Edhi Award which should be given to the persons who work significantly for the community with full enthusiasm and dedication.

I salute Sir Abdul Sattar Edhi for all his devotion and passion for the needy persons. Allah may bless him with lots of rewards. Ameen!

Some words for the world’s best politician and human rights activist His Excellency Nelson Mandela

I still remember when I was a child and Pakistan Television was the only TV channel available at that time, in the 9:00 pm Urdu news (Khabarnama) there was quite often mentioning of the name Nelson Mandela and his fight for getting the equal rights for black skinned people living in South Africa. Time kept moving on. I also came to know that due to the extreme level of racism in South Africa their sports teams were not allowed to participate in any international event, i.e. Cricket world cup, Soccer world cup, Olympic Games etc.

Madiba

I moved to Australia in 2010. Here I got an opportunity of working in with RailCorp New South Wales as a Project Engineer. Sunil Mistry was my very nice and friendly colleague. From his name I had an idea that he was from India. One day Sunil surprised me by telling that his origin was India but he and his parental family spent their time in South Africa for many years before migrating to Australia. As mentioned above, I always had heard a lot about the South African apartheid (racism). I asked Sunil about the reality based on his personal experience. Sunil told me that there was such a high level of racism in South Africa that at every place they used to have three types of public toilets, one for the white skinned, second for the migrated Indian origin people, and third and the worst quality ones for the black people.
Sunil also mentioned that except garbage collectors and street cleaners, no black person was allowed to enter the central business district in Cape Town and other cities. Any black found in those areas was immediately arrested and fined.
5 December 2013 was a shocking day for the whole world. Nelson Mandela’s death news made everyone sad. He was the person who started his struggle in South Africa. He was born on 18th of July 1918. He served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was South Africa’s first black chief executive, and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. His government focused on dismantling the legacy of apartheid through tackling institutionalised racism, poverty and inequality, and fostering racial reconciliation.
Politically an African nationalist and democratic socialist, he served as President of the African National Congress (ANC) from 1991 to 1997. Internationally, Mandela was Secretary General of the Non-Aligned Movement from 1998 to 1999. He spent 27 years in prison, out of which 6 years in isolation (قید تنہائی). An international campaign lobbied for his release. He was released in 1990, during a time of escalating civil strife. Mandela joined negotiations with President F. W. de Klerk to abolish apartheid and establish multiracial elections in 1994, in which he led the ANC to victory and became South Africa’s first black president.
Unlike Pakistani politicians who always want to rule and damage the country, he did not like to be elected as the president of South Africa for the second term and became an elder statesman, focusing on charitable work in combating poverty and HIV/AIDS through the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
During his life, he gained international acclaim for his activism, having received more than 250 honours, including the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize, the US Presidential Medal of Freedom, the SovietOrder of Lenin and the Bharat Ratna. He is held in deep respect within South Africa, where he is often referred to by his Xhosa clan name, Madiba, or as Tata (“Father”); he is often described as “the father of the nation”.
He followed principles of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) after getting the rule and did not take any revenge from those who had made his life like hell. He forgave every one of them. He kept eligible white skinned people in his staff and brought them closer to the black skinned people. Due to his efforts South Africa held the Cricket world cup and their teams were allowed to participate in all international sporting events.
Nelson Mandela was laid to rest in his childhood village of Qunu today (Sunday, the 15th of December 2013) marking the end of an exceptional journey for the prisoner turned president who transformed South Africa.
I wish that our Muslim, especially Pakistani, leaders could learn from Madiba that how they can earn respect in this world.

Peaceful neighbourhood necessary for Pakistan

I am a Civil Engineer by qualification. During our graduation we were taught about the levels of earthquakes in a subject of geo-technical engineering. Earthquake intensity is expressed in Richter scale. An earthquake falling in the range of 7.0 – 7.9 on Richter scale is termed as catastrophic.

25th of September 2013 can be termed as a black day in the history of Baluchistan province when district Awaran was hit by an earthquake of intensity 7.8 (Richter scale). More than 300 people, including women and children, lost their lives as result of this 8 second long severe earthquake. People of the area witnessed emerging of a new island type structures in the Arabian Sea near the port of Gwadar.

After the earthquake, rescue services were started immediately by the federal and provincial governments, with the cooperation of Pakistan Army. However the most alarming thing noticed was the attack on helping Army helicopter by using rocket launchers. Independence fighters in Baluchistan province are getting foreign support from India and Afghanistan who want to destabilise Pakistan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif It has recent meeting with his Indian counterpart Mr. Manmohan Singh in New York has elevated this issue. Later Pakistani government has provided proofs of Indian interference in Baluchistan to the Indian authorities.

Pakistan is always blamed for harbouring the terrorists on its lands. India is always doing the false propaganda against our country in this regard. However if we just review true situation of the area, we would realise that countries having their borders with India are facing problems. India is having issues with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and China. India is supporting the Baluchistan Liberation Army through Afghanistan where it has opened so many consulates, which are not required at all. Purpose is to provide ammunition to the anti-government terrorists in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s biggest media group Jang has been trying its best to bring peace between the two neighbouring countries and with the cooperation of an Indian media group ‘Times of India’ it launched a campaign ‘Aman Ki Asha’ (hope of peace). Recently both groups arranged a dialogue between the senior politicians and army personnel from both countries on TV screens. Indian panel spoke very rudely and targeted Hafiz Saeed, who was released by the Supreme Court of Pakistan after finding that there was nothing against him for which he could be kept behind the bars. Seasoned politician Sheikh Rashid Ahmed handled tough allegations from Indian participants quite smartly.

Some days back (as reported by Times of India on July 14, 2013) the former Indian home ministry officer and investigator Satish Verma disclosed that “incumbent government orchestrated and pre-planned terror attacks on its own parliament (December 13, 2001) and carnage in Mumbai (November 26, 2008)” creating terror, mayhem and pandemonium, killing hundreds of innocent people in cold blood. Pak-China friendship

After knowing such things we must be clear about the Indian intentions about bringing peace in the area. Pakistani government should not shake hand with India or Afghanistan who are our enemies. We must revive our terms with China, Iran and Bangladesh so that we could tackle with the international issues with their support. This will also help in maintaining balance of power in the region. We can arrange trainings for our law enforcing agencies with the help of Chinese and Iranian governments. We can also make sure that on all international forums we have a united voice which will definitely have a sound impact.

Now this is the time that we should ban showing of Indian movies in our cinemas. For this government must invest in the Pakistani film industry and help it to establish once again. More incentives should be announced for the businessmen for constructing cinemas and theatre halls. Similarly all cinemas must be given tax relief for at least two years so that they could happily exhibit our own films. By promoting our own culture we’ll bring a sense of patriotism in our people. Pakistani artists will also be able to support their families after getting work.

Pakistan Zindabad!!!

Pakistani Muslims wasting their time on fake Islamic pictures

For last 2-3 years I have noticed that some Facebook users post pictures showing Islamic miracles on their timelines and community groups and pages. You see trees grown up in such a way that Allah’ or Prophet Muhammad’s name would be formed because of their form. Sometime they share Prophet’s or Allah’s name written on forehead of a baby, on a fruit or vegetable, or on the sky by clouds or flying birds. Sometime you will see the holy names on bread or on a goat’ or cow’s skin. There are many other things that they share to impress the viewers about Islam.

Pic-3 Pic-1  Pic-2

Almost all of these pictures are fake where Photoshop is extensively used for this purpose. Pakistanis are so simple in the religious matters that they immediately get impressed by such purposely created images and start liking and commenting on them. Many of them even share them without investigating about their reality. Now there is a new trend, which I would call as a ‘cheap’ act. Persons who share such fake things or even sometime real pictures of a praying person or a holy place write in caption, “It deserves at least 5000 likes”. Number 5,000 is just an example. The range starts from 100 and goes up to 50,000. I really feel sorry to see such things. Our nation needs to understand that peoples living in the developed countries are not going to be impressed by such things. They have good computer skills and easily judge the self-created things.

We waste our energies in such things and have hardly done anything for the betterment of human being. We use mobile phones almost 18 hours a day, which is an invention of non-Muslims. All useful applications like Google maps, Google earth, GPS Navigator, compass, Viber, Skype, online banking apps, Youtube, and Facebook etc. are developed by non-Muslims and we have done nothing except using them. These things even help us in following our religion more conveniently. If you are living in a developed country, you can immediately search a masjid near you by using Google and then you can reach their within minutes by using Google maps (mobile version) or GPS navigator.

There are software applications that give you the correct direction of Qibla from your city, which you can easily locate by using a mobile phone application ‘compass’. Some Muslim brothers (not Pakistani) have developed Islamic software applications which give you information about prayer timings. There are software applications that provide you the facility of reading and listening to the Quran in Arabic and other languages.

I therefore request my Pakistani Muslim friends to stay away from wasting their energies on the fake pictures and try to do something positive that could create a better image of our country and great religion of Islam.

66th Independence Anniversary of Pakistan

پاکستان کا جشن آزادی مبارک

پاکستان کا جشن آزادی مبارک

14th August 1947 was the day when Muslims of the sub-continent finally got a ‘home’ for themselves where they could spend their life practising the golden principles of Islam, without any fear. Under the great leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, later knighted by the nation as The Big Leader (قائد اعظم), Pakistanis started their journey with full zeal and devotion. Founder of the nation Mr. Jinnah had also assured non-Muslim minorities for giving them the equal rights just like their Muslim countrymen.

Pakistan was founded with a great though and after a long brainstorming. It was envisaged that this young Islamic country would emerge as leader of the Islamic countries. However this dream could not be fulfilled. Due to the corruption and political mismanagement in the country the goals could be achieved. Today in spite of being the only Islamic atomic power in the world, we are under the huge debts. We have compromised on our sovereignty just because we have to pay the USA billions of dollars.

Afghan war and so called ‘war on terror’ have brought us the worst circumstances. On one side we have been facing the drone attacks and on the other side our internal terrorists are carrying out the suicidal attacks in which thousands of innocent Pakistanis have lost their lives. Everyday our media brings us ‘breaking news’ that really break us and bring disappointment. No one in the government is bothered about the deteriorating economic condition of Pakistan. In any public department, you cannot get your genuine works done without bribing or having references. Similarly there is no control on the prices of everyday grocery items. Common man is the one who is suffering the most. He cannot provide fruits or meat to his kids. Was Pakistan created for this???

There is no justice in the country. Chief Justice’s son was not punished at all in spite of the clear witnesses against him in the corruption case. Similarly Shahrukh Jatoi, son of a landlord in Sindh, has not been punished till date for murdering the innocent Shahzeb Khan in Karachi, who had just returned home after attending his elder sister’s wedding. Overseas Pakistanis, like me, get stressed when they visit Pakistan and face difficulties in getting the simple things done. They always visit Pakistan with happiness but after a few days the happiness is gone.

I wish that our passport could also get the respect like the other passports. We could travel to any country without applying for the visas, and even of the visas are required, being Pakistanis we could get them without any problem. For this we have to come out for changing our corrupt system and play our role in improving country’s impression in the eyes of other citizens of the developed countries.

At this great day I wish all my Pakistani friends and their families a very happy Independence Day. At the same time I would request you all to consider seriously whether we deserved an independent country or not. We have to prove that we deserved it.

He walks besides me…for Majid, on his 4th death anniversary

MAJID - Prince of Melbourne & Hero of Lahore (RIP)

MAJID – Prince of Melbourne & Hero of Lahore (RIP)

June 25, 2013: Today marks Majid’s 4th anniversary. We as his family members feel proud to be associated with his sweet memories. He was a guest sent to us from Allah SWT and we thank our Lord for sending such a wonderful person to us, who enlightened our lives till his last breath.

He gave us hope, courage and ideas that have helped us in handling the problems in our life. Today I live in Australia. I am here just because of Majid, who I always regard as Captain James Cook from our extended family. He was the first person in our maternal and parental families who landed in Australia as a student in March 2002. Those days I was just planning to apply for the Canadian or Australian immigration, but was finding it bit difficult to choose between the two options. Majid encouraged me to opt for Australia in spite of the fact that all my close class fellows were applying for Canada.

I listened to him and opted for Australia, which had a very difficult immigration procedure for overseas engineering professionals. Majid was the youngest member of our loving family. He was 8 year younger to me and Rashid and we loved him so much. He suffered a lot due to his irrecoverable disease Bipolar Disorder, which affects highly intellectual people. After fighting against this fatal disease for more than 4 years, finally he gave up and left us on 25th of June, 2009 forever.

Honestly speaking we have never accepted it that he is no more with us. He is still with us in the form of his memories. In fact I feel that he walks beside me every morning when I walk to the train station for catching train to reach my office. My day starts with his memories and when I am in my bed for sleeping, he is the last person who says me goodbye at that time. I never forget to pray for him before sleeping. Similarly he is the first one in my prays after offering any of the everyday Islamic prayers.

Allah SWT is the kindest and most merciful and we are 100% sure that Majid is in the heavens. However we miss him a lot and on any of our achievements, his absence is felt badly which makes us sad. Our houses in Lahore and Sydney are named after him as ‘Al-Majid’. We (Rashid and I) have pledged that anyone who ignored Majid on his death is out of our life and we will always fulfill our commitment with his noble soul.

Majid used to listen this song of Brian Adams in Melbourne, whenever he lost his hopes during the initial tough days of his settling. He played this song once for me when I was little sad in Melbourne on not getting a job. Today I feel that perhaps he is giving us this message from the other world where he is now, and where he is healthy and happy with no depressing thoughts…. Just read!!!

HERE I AM

Here I am – this is me
I come into this world so wild and free
Here I am – so young and strong
Right here in the place where I belong

It’s a new world – it’s a new start
It’s alive with the beating of a young heart
It’s a new day – in a new land
And it’s waiting for me – here I am

Oh it’s a new world – it’s a new start
It’s alive with the beating of a young heart
Yeah it’s a new day – in a new land
And it’s waiting for me – here I am

PTI Australia turning Sydney into Lahore tonight on 23rd March – NAYA PAKISTAN Event!!!

NAYA PAKISTAN
Today is a historic day for Pakistan. In 1940, on the same day resolution for the formation of Pakistan was approved at Minto Park Lahore, where we have Minar-e-Pakistan now for commemorating the history of that day.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf under the visionary leadership of Imran Khan has emerged as a true democratic political force in Pakistan that has full capability to bring Pakistan out of the long ongoing crisis, if given a chance. Today they are going to have a huge demonstration under the Minar-e-Pakistan where 80,000 elected new members will take their oaths.
Pakistanis in Australia love Pakistan not less than anyone else. Mahmood Ahmed Chaddhar and his friends laid the foundation of PTI Australia in 2008. Since then patriotic Pakistanis have been joining the chapter. In 2012 party held its first ever intra-party elections in overseas chapters. Muhammad Waqas Bashir got elected as the President, with Muhammad Ahmed as Vice President and Imran Mirza as General Secretary.

They formed a working team of highly capable people who put their best efforts for the first fund raising lunch that was held in December 2012. Around 400 Sydney siders attended the programme and highly appreciated the efforts done by the whole team…… I feel proud to be a part of that great team.

Now 23rd March is there and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is going to announce its commitment for building a new Pakistan. According to our senior team member Mr. Salik H. Khawaja Australian Pakistanis are lucky that they would start this mission first of all as Australia is 6 hours ahead of Pakistan.
Rafaqat Ali Khan-1
PTI NSW team has organised a beautiful programme today afternoon that will start at 4:00 pm and continue till 9:00 pm. A large number of Pakistanis are coming to attend the event. There will be a special appearance from visiting Pakistani singer Ustad Rafaqat Ali Khan, who will share his feelings with the audience.

We from Sada-e-Shahid invite all our readers living in Sydney and its surrounding to make their presence in today’s event and make it a successful opening of a new era on Pakistan. There will be beautiful presentation and performances and we assure that you will remember this event always as a sweet memory.

NAYA PAKISTAN – INSHA ALLAH!

Location: Orion Function Centre (155 Beamish Street, Campsie NSW 2194)
Time: 1600 hrs (4:00 pm)
Tickets available on location (Adult: $30, child, aged 6-12: $20)

Give your vote to PTI candidates for building a NEW PAKISTAN

Last five years proved the worst for Pakistan under the so-called democratic coalition government led by Pakistan People’s Party. Conditions in Pakistan were never so bad as today. If you are a Pakistani living in your motherland, you cannot get your passport even after 3 months of your applying. However if you are ready to pay Rs. 5,000 – 8,000 as bribery, you may get it within 2 days. If Muhammad Ali Jinnah is given a life again and sent to Pakistan I bet that he would immediately apply for Canadian or Australian immigration.

Naya Pakistan

People are being killed like insects on the streets in Karachi and Quetta, where PPP have their governments. There is no consideration given to any order of the Supreme Court. On every single issue Supreme Court has to take action as government doesn’t bother to look into the ongoing critical issues. Ministers and members of parliament are just filling their bank accounts and have nothing to do with the energy crisis, worst law and order, highest levels of corruption, sectarian killings and terrorism, unemployment, and uncontrolled inflation. In addition to these problems Pakistan is a country where even the medicines can kill any patient, but Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif is happy to inaugurate new hospitals and grounds. He is least bothered on the death of many people as a result of fake medicines.

PTI_lpic-2312

Now nation is ready to go for polls. In spite of the highest security threat, Pakistan Army and the Supreme Court have assured that elections will be held at any cost. Our nation has failed to elect the right candidates for the national and provincial assemblies since the independence of Pakistan. May be there has been a lack of suitable candidates on whom they could trust. Now Imran Khan has emerged as a hope for Pakistan. He is an honest person who has delivered. He never has ditched any of his fellowmen. Imran Khan is trying to educate people of their basic needs. He is the first leader who has a team of intelligent and highly educated entrepreneurs and professionals. They have developed the policies after long brainstorming. Imran is a brave captain who knows how to maintain relations with USA without compromising on our solidarity. He has a vision of building an all-new Pakistan.

I would like to say (with optimism) that if we choose Imran as our Prime Minister, he has got all the qualities of eradicating the current crises. However if we once again voted to those who have ditched us in the past, we can never bring Pakistan out of the current worst problems.

So please VOTE for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidates in the coming 2013 general elections.

Why we need Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for Pakistan

Today I am writing this article after my appointment as Media and Information Secretary, PTI NSW Australia. Present PPP led government proved to be the worst one since creation of Pakistan. Each member of parliament sitting on the government benches is least bothered about the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in the country, particularly in Karachi and Quetta.

After the independence of media during the Musharraf regime, now performance of the well reputed institutions like Pakistan Army and the judiciary is also in question. Osama incident raised serious concerns on the control of Pakistan Army in the country.

On the other hand son of the Chief Justice of Pakistan Dr. Arslan Iftikhar’s case put a bad mark on the reputation of honourable Chief Justice as he and his fellow judges failed in doing the right justice with Dr. Arslan on the blames by Bahria Town Chief Executive Mr. Riaz Malik. Earlier famous and well reputed lawyer Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan also lost his repute when he supported the former Prime Minister Mr. Yousaf Raza Gilani in contempt of court case, which he lost and Gilani was punished by the court resulting his dismissal from the position of Prime Minister.

Latest decision of the Pakistan Supreme Court on Asghar Khan case has put a bad effect on the position of Nawaz Sharif, Army generals and many other politicians by mentioning that they were bribed by the ISI for rigging in 1990 elections so that the PPP could be defeated in the general elections.

These days Pakistan has become an unsafe and unstable country. Government stakeholders don’t want to bring peace in Karachi where no one is safe from terrorism and sectarian killings. Not only in Karachi, but in Quetta and many other parts of the country sectarian based violence is growing rapidly. At this time Pakistan really needs a government that can take decisions without any compromises or fear. Pakistan Muslim League (N) unfortunately cannot handle these challenges, because it is a party that always makes coalition government. Moreover Nawaz Sharif doesn’t have enough wisdom to keep good relations with Army and the judiciary.

PML (Q) can never do anything good, because its leadership shook hands with the corrupt PPP government just for saving Munis Illahi in the corruption cases against him. Party’s support to dictator Muharraf affected its reputation badly and people of Pakistan rejected it in the 2008 elections. If we compare all the party leaders; Imran Khan is the only person who can be termed as ‘Mr. Clean’. He has never done any financial corruption. His honesty in managing the funds of Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital and Nimal University is a proof that he is a trustworthy person. Without having any government designation and support, making and successfully running such a state-of-the-art hospital on charity is a miracle in itself.

Imran Khan is a courageous and brave person with a commitment of handling the challenges like corruption, terrorism, sectarian violence, electricity load shedding, inflation, increasing unemployment, and lack of patience in the society. He has full plans to put the country on the right path. His team includes highly educated and motivated persons from different walks of life, who want Pakistan glooming once again. Imran Khan is the only leader who voiced against the drone attacks on the international level. He also spoke bravely against the Israeli forces on their latest attacks on Palestine.

In my opinion Pakistan Army now also want such a Prime Minister who has good power of decision making. Imran Khan and his team need our support in the upcoming elections. After the formation of PTI government:

(i)            Judiciary will also enjoy full independence when there would be no pressure on the judges for giving decisions in favour of the persons who have links in the government.

(ii)          Pakistan Army will not get involved in the politics as there would be no political link between the GHQ and government.

(iii)         Same level of education will be available in both government and private institutions.

(iv)         Police will not be pressurised for taking no action against the culprits.

(v)          Smart brains will be invited for providing solutions for the electricity and other challenges in a corruption free environment.

Rule of merit will prevail and Pakistan will insha Allah emerge as a dignified and united strong nation once again.

Special documentary on Imran Khan presented on SBS-1 TV Channel, Australia

I was watching Dateline programme on SBS-1 Channel in which a half hour documentary was shown on PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Title of the programme was ‘Dateline: Imran’s Big Test’. The programme focused on his popularity in the rural areas of Pakistan, where people were shown welcoming him in a very warmly manner. It was amazing to see hope in their eyes for a developed and prosperous country.

Dateline on SBS-1: Imran’s Big Test

I have observed different political leaders in Pakistan for last 30 years of my adulthood. None of them had the courage that I find in Imran. In this programme PTI Quetta gathering was given special coverage, where everyone feared because of the terrible law and order situation. Imran was being given warnings by the journalists and his senior party fellows. However Imran vowed clearly that he would go to Quetta and speak to an expected large gathering there. Later I was amazed to see the overwhelming response of thousands of people who were gathered there to see and listen to their only hope.

Famous well reputed TV journalist Talat Hussain and senior PTI official Shah Mahmood Qureshi (former foreign minister) also expressed their views about the party and Imran Khan. Talat clearly described Imran and the best option for country. Imran’s gatherings in rural cities of Punjab, Bhakkar and Chichawatani were also covered, where poor people were extremely happy to find him between them. Imran spoke to the SBS anchor in detail about his vision and approach if PTI forms the next government. He declared that within 90 days major corruption would be eradicated from Pakistan. He added that the institutions would be strengthened in such a way that there would be no chances of corruption forever.

Imran described Pakistan as a beautiful country with lots of blessings and opportunities. However he stressed that people would have to cast their vote for bringing the change. Young generation of colleges and universities were also interviewed, who supported PTI and vowed that they would cast their votes in favour of PTI candidates in the next elections. This is a very positive sign that people of Pakistan see Imran as their leader who would bring them out of the ongoing crisis. Let us keep our fingers crossed for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s success in the next elections.

Long Live Pakistan!!!
