Why we need Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for Pakistan

Today I am writing this article after my appointment as Media and Information Secretary, PTI NSW Australia. Present PPP led government proved to be the worst one since creation of Pakistan. Each member of parliament sitting on the government benches is least bothered about the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in the country, particularly in Karachi and Quetta.

After the independence of media during the Musharraf regime, now performance of the well reputed institutions like Pakistan Army and the judiciary is also in question. Osama incident raised serious concerns on the control of Pakistan Army in the country.

On the other hand son of the Chief Justice of Pakistan Dr. Arslan Iftikhar’s case put a bad mark on the reputation of honourable Chief Justice as he and his fellow judges failed in doing the right justice with Dr. Arslan on the blames by Bahria Town Chief Executive Mr. Riaz Malik. Earlier famous and well reputed lawyer Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan also lost his repute when he supported the former Prime Minister Mr. Yousaf Raza Gilani in contempt of court case, which he lost and Gilani was punished by the court resulting his dismissal from the position of Prime Minister.

Latest decision of the Pakistan Supreme Court on Asghar Khan case has put a bad effect on the position of Nawaz Sharif, Army generals and many other politicians by mentioning that they were bribed by the ISI for rigging in 1990 elections so that the PPP could be defeated in the general elections.

These days Pakistan has become an unsafe and unstable country. Government stakeholders don’t want to bring peace in Karachi where no one is safe from terrorism and sectarian killings. Not only in Karachi, but in Quetta and many other parts of the country sectarian based violence is growing rapidly. At this time Pakistan really needs a government that can take decisions without any compromises or fear. Pakistan Muslim League (N) unfortunately cannot handle these challenges, because it is a party that always makes coalition government. Moreover Nawaz Sharif doesn’t have enough wisdom to keep good relations with Army and the judiciary.

PML (Q) can never do anything good, because its leadership shook hands with the corrupt PPP government just for saving Munis Illahi in the corruption cases against him. Party’s support to dictator Muharraf affected its reputation badly and people of Pakistan rejected it in the 2008 elections. If we compare all the party leaders; Imran Khan is the only person who can be termed as ‘Mr. Clean’. He has never done any financial corruption. His honesty in managing the funds of Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital and Nimal University is a proof that he is a trustworthy person. Without having any government designation and support, making and successfully running such a state-of-the-art hospital on charity is a miracle in itself.

Imran Khan is a courageous and brave person with a commitment of handling the challenges like corruption, terrorism, sectarian violence, electricity load shedding, inflation, increasing unemployment, and lack of patience in the society. He has full plans to put the country on the right path. His team includes highly educated and motivated persons from different walks of life, who want Pakistan glooming once again. Imran Khan is the only leader who voiced against the drone attacks on the international level. He also spoke bravely against the Israeli forces on their latest attacks on Palestine.

In my opinion Pakistan Army now also want such a Prime Minister who has good power of decision making. Imran Khan and his team need our support in the upcoming elections. After the formation of PTI government:

(i)            Judiciary will also enjoy full independence when there would be no pressure on the judges for giving decisions in favour of the persons who have links in the government.

(ii)          Pakistan Army will not get involved in the politics as there would be no political link between the GHQ and government.

(iii)         Same level of education will be available in both government and private institutions.

(iv)         Police will not be pressurised for taking no action against the culprits.

(v)          Smart brains will be invited for providing solutions for the electricity and other challenges in a corruption free environment.

Rule of merit will prevail and Pakistan will insha Allah emerge as a dignified and united strong nation once again.

پاکستان زندہ باد
