After its selection through 1st intraparty elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the newly elected team of PTI (NSW, Australia) decided to arrange a get together for the Pakistanis living in Sydney and it’s near about. Purpose was to collect funds for the central party in Pakistan so that the huge expenses required for taking part in the 2013 general elections in Pakistan could be covered. All the working team members of PTI (NSW) under the leadership of President Muhammad Waqas Bashir showed great interest in organising the event. It was decided that a lunch would be organised in some easily accessible area of Sydney.
After doing detail survey, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed (Vice President) booked the venue of Bill Lovelee Youth Centre, Abbott Park (corner of Miller Road and Waldron Road) Chester Hill for Sunday 9 December 2012. Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary designed the beautiful tickets, flyers and posters for the event. $25 ticket was suggested for adults and $15 for children between the range of 7-15 years.
Being Information Secretary of the Team, I also have been involved in selling the tickets. I feel pleasure to share that Pakistani community living in NSW has high hopes with the PTI leadership. We have been contacted by number of people through telephones for the tickets. Meanwhile our friends and colleagues are also showing great support for the noble cause that would Insha Allah bring positive change in Pakistan.
I would like to invite all Pakistanis living in Sydney to this beautifully organised get together, where there will be lots of fun for the kids and families. A patriotic programme is arranged for all of the guests, including PowerPoint presentations, motivational speeches, national songs, comedy skit and games for the kids. Above all, delicious Pakistani food will be provided at all the guests without any additional cost.
