Pakistani print and electronic media is playing a great role in helping the people seeking for justice in the country. A 12 year old house maid Shazia was murdered in Lahore by her employer Advocate Naeem, who is ex-president of Punjab Bar Council. The deceased girl belongs to a poor Christian family.
At this stage media came forward, due to which the culprit advocate got arrested and Punjab government also assured the Christian family that justice would be provided to them.
On other side, a retired Army colonel lost his life after hitting by a state owned car of Punjab’s Chief Secretary Javed Mahmood. Colonel was riding on motorcycle. Police was not giving any importajce to his family. Then media came into the picture and now the case has been registered.
Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif visited both affected families and assured them of their maximum possible support for the seek of justice. This is a new beginning in Pakistan and it can be anticipated that rule of law will be applicable in the country.
