Karachi Fashion Week 2009

On one side Pakistani citizens are facing the worst time in the history of Pakistan, whereas on the other side some so-called open minded people are promoting the things that are in contrary with our religious and cultural values.

Lat week, Karachi Fashion Week was organised to show the world that we are not terrified at all. This show introduced the model girls wearing the dresses that required minimum cloths. This show promoted the vulgarity and did not help Pakistani nation in showing some good image of the country to the rest of the world. It would have been much better if we could focus on our traditions. This is the reason that Allah is not happy from us and is not helping us at all. People who are promoting vulgarity in the society must remember that everybody is answerable for their deeds.

Pakistan is a country where you can expect anything in politics… THe nation went into great surprise when government’s all time ally MQM denied to support the PPP in the parliament on the NRO issue. Also PML (N) and PML (Q) got joined on this issue. Both opposition parties are opposing this Ordinance. President Zardari, who is the biggest beneficiary of this notorious Ordinance could not expect this, and he had to ask his party to take the NRO approval issue back from the floor of National Assembly.

Now if the parliament does not approve this notorious Ordinance, it will be nullified and the cases, those were taken back against the culprits by the worst dictator of Pakistan, Pervaiz Musharraf, will reopen for the hearing. So now the PPP is in a real difficult position when noone is going to support the party on this issue. Zardari has put his party in a terrible position. Time will tell what happens next….

International Islamic University, Islamabad

Last week the wild terrorists attacked many locations, including the innocent students (including females) of International Islamic University, Islamabad. After this attack which claimed 6 precious lives, provincial governments of Pakistan ordered to close the educational institutions for one week. This is a real sad and alarming situation that now even the teachers and students are not safe. It shows how much concern these so called JIHADEES (Islamic fighters) have for Islam. Islam has made it compulsary for each Muslim male and female to get education. But these illiterate and uneducated rascals are killing the innocent students… For What??? Will this help Islam in anyway???

Terrorists will insha Allah get defeated. The only thing we need is the UNITY and COMMITMENT. The terrorists are just choosing HELL (Jahannum) for themselves as Allah knows very well what they are doing.

Iran - a Friend Country of Pakistan

Pakistan is now facing the worst time in its history. Some days back a suicide attack took place in Iran. They put its responsibility on Pakistan. The interesting yet strange thing is that their President Mahmood Ahmedi Nijad blamed Pakistan, USA and UK for planning this attack together. Now the time has come that our brother Islamic country Iran, who always had very strong relations with us, is also balaming us for the killings of their citizens. We must take this issue very seriously and should immediately reject the Kerry Luger Bill (aid) and raise our heads as an honourable Muslim nation.

Today (10 Oct. 2009) around 6-7 terrorists entered into the Pakistan Army General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi around 11:00 a.m. They were wearing Army uniform and came in a Suzuki Pick up. They exchanged firing with the security guards. They killed one Brigadier, one Lieutenant Colonel and four other Army soldiers. In reply four of them also got killed. It is indeed an alarming situation that now the most secure considered areas in Pakistan are easily approachable and controllable by the terrorist forces. Tehreek-e-Taliban has taken the responsibility in a statement issued today.

By now the terrorists (more than 2) have captured around 15 emplyees of GHQ in the security building. Army commandos have taken their positions around the building. Army spokesman said that the Pak Army wanted to get control of the terrorists without loosing the precious lives. Army helicopters are also assisting the soldiers. Police and Army have found a house in Islamabad, where according to the reports this action was planned. They have discovered Army uniforms,  guns and other explosive material from there.

We as Pakistanis support our Army and wish them a great victory….

Today (6 Oct. 09) I happened to watch a Drama on Geo TV, which has very unpleasant title ‘Buri Aurat’ meaning Bad Woman. This drama is wrtitten by Javed Fazil  and is a production of Evernew Entertainment. In this drama one actress is shown married with Farhan Ali Agha but in affair with Actor Asad. She fights with her husband and later leaves his home without divorce. Her mother wants to guide her but she snubs her strongly to keep away from her own daughter’s affair. Later she leaves her home and shifts with Asad at his home.

The most objectionable act shown on a family TV channel was when she is seen preparing drink (whiskey) for Asad. She also says in a scene to Asad, “I am living with you like a wife without marriage, therefore we should not worry for the wedding”. This is indeed a shameful act of Geo TV, that is already working on an agenda to spread “bai-hayai” (vulgarity) in the Pakistani society by showing such things. We strongly condemn this thing. Such things also promote Taliban and other religious terror forces to find excuse for their brutal acts.

I have experienced a very unbelievable thing in UAE, which I could never expect from international brands like Coca Cola and Pepsi. In order to satisfy a large number of diet conscious people, both companies have introduced diet drinks like Coca Cola Light, Coke Zero, Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max. These companies are using artificial sweeteners in these drinks so that people can enjoy the taste. Unfortunately there are more than one type of sweeteners being used. The taste is very good sometimes, whereas it contains a strong odor on the other times. Yesterday I purchased a Coca Cola Light can from a store and experienced very bad taste due to this problem. I could not take more than 2-3 sips and purchased regular Coke can. With Pepsi I also have experienced the same thing in UAE.

Diet Drinks

This is not a good practice as it creates a bad repute of the world’s most popular brands in soft drinks. The standard should be maintained by these companies so that their consumers can enjoy while drinking these soft drinks. I hope that if someone from Coke or Pepsi is reading this article they will definitely highlight this issue and try to solve it.

Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim readers. Eid ul Fitr is a special blessing of Allah on the Muslims after their fasting for a full holy month of Ramadan.

May Allah (SWT) accept our fasting and prayers during the Ramadan and forgive our sins… Amin!

Unfortunately once again in Pakistan, people are celebrating this event on two different dates (20th and 21st of September) due to their difference on the evidences of sighting of moon. Such things are not a good sign for the unity of Muslims and make a joke of us in front of people from other faiths. I hope that Pakistani government will take urgent steps to solve this issue so that the citizens of Pakistan can have their eids on one day.

EID MUBARAK!!!

Ruler of Dubai, his highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoom marked history by inaugurating the Gulf’s 1st driver-less electronic train service, known as Dubai Metro. He inauguratred the service on 9-9-9 at 9:09 pm at Mall of Emirates station.

I am writing in grief today about the situation faced by the people living in Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Ramadan is being celebrated throughout the country and almost all the Muslims are fasting in this holy month. Our traders and shopkeepers are also trying to earn the maximum profit inspite of earning the sawab (rewards of good deeds). They have produced artificial shortfall in the supply of sugar. Poor people have to search for sugar in addition to ‘Laila-tul-Qadar’ which they will search in the last 5 odd nights of Ramadan. In humid weather while fasting, they have to que up in long lines to get the sugar like beggars although they pay for that. I am despressed to see this attitude in an Islamic country. In UAE there are number of promotions and discounts offered by the big stores and outlets. There is no such crisis.

It has come to my information that Government of Pakistan did not allow raising of this issue in the Parliament. Another issue that Pakistani people are facing in this holy month is the long duration electricity loadshedding. One can imagine that a fasting person cannot keep good without air in such hot weather. Government has many other issues to tackle with. Our politians and ex-Army officers are trying their best in proing each others as culprit so that the government cannot find any time for thinking about the poor people. Sugar mill owners include parlimentarians like Hamayon Akhtar and many others who don’t like that their profit should drop down in Ramadan, but they just want to get all the ‘barakaats’ of this holy month in the form of money…..
