Dr. Shahid Masood in 'Meray Mutabiq'
On Sunday 26th July, Dr. Shahid Masood presented a very good episode of his popular Geo TV documentary programme ‘Meray Mutabiq’. He focussed on the recent notice of Supreme Court of Pakistan issues to General (retd.) Pervaiz Musharraf in which he has been invited to defend his imposing of the notorious Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) on 3rd November 2007.
Dr. Shahid Masood commented that USA would be doing the same with Musharraf that he did with other such dictators, like Saddam Hussain, Raza Shah Pehlvi, Marcos and many others. Then he showed the scenes from Iran when people came out on the roads against the dictator king Mr. Raza Shah Pehlvi asking for his quit. The king wanted help from USA, Panama and Egypt, but none of these countries provided him the shelter and he died in Cairo later. Some parts of his last interview to a French anchorman were also shown, in which the King was looking very dishearted.
Dr. Shahid also interviewed Dr. Sher Afgan Niazi, one of the loyal friends of Musharraf. Dr. Niazi could not reply Dr. Shahid’s questions properly and finally admitted that Musharraf took unconstitutional step on 3rd November 2007 and in reality it was a ‘martial law’.
Dr. Shahid Masood concluded that it was the time for Musharraf’s trial for all his unfair acts during his unconstitutional reign. He added that Musharraf’s future would not be very different from Raza Shah Pehlvi and other dictators.

Lawyers chanting slogans against Musharraf
Supreme Court of Pakistan yesterday issued a notice to ex-President of Pakistan General (retd.) Pervaiz Musharraf for appearing before the Court or submitting a relpy in the justification of his PCO imposing on 3rd November 2007. It is being said that its time for Musharraf’s accountability. US convoy Mr. Richard Halbrock, who is in Islamabad these days, has also commented that their Government is not going to interfere in this internal matter of Pakistan.
On the other hand, Attorney General of Pakistan Mr. Latif Khosa also has denied to defend Musharraf on behalf of the Government of Pakistan. People of Pakistan are very much eager to see the dictator behind the bars, who put our nation in big problem…..

Nawaz Sharif the great!!!
Today Pakistan Supreme Court has given a great decision that has proved that Gen. (retd.) Pervaiz Musharraf was the main culprit in ‘Plane Hijacking Case’. Nawaz Sharif got grace from Allah and has been proved innocent in this conspiracy case, in which Sindh Supreme Court gace a verdict of life imprisonment to him and released all other accused people. It’s the defeat of dictator and victory of people of Pakistan. Today President Asif Zardari is also arriving Lahore for meeting Nawaz Sharif. I wish that now both parties can lead Pakistan to prosperity and bring out our people from terrorism.

Majid Javed - who left us too soon!
25 June 2009 was the worst day in my life. I was in Dubai working in my office when I heard the saddest news of my younger brother’s untimely demise. I was caught by severe depression and my mind stopped working. Majid was born on 28 September 1981 in Lahore. He can be regarded as the brightest star in our whole family. He was always a brilliant person and had a very beautiful personality. Due to his friendly nature he always won hearts of his friends and people around him. Majid had a native English accent and scored Band 9.0 in IELTS Spoken English Section.
Majid was always very good in studies and he got BIT degree from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne, Australia. He remained in Australia for about 2.5 years and came back to Pakistan in 2004. Due to his very fast brain, he started suffering from a complex disease known as Bipolar Disease (Multiple Personality Disorder). His brain ran about 20 times faster than an ordinary intelligent brain. He fought for about 5 years with this irrecoverable disease. Majid was the heart and soul of all cousins. He always played great role in entertaining them during their weddings and get togethers. Unfortunately his two marriages broke down due to his disease. Finally he left this world on 25 June. He left a message for his great and ideal father Dr. Javed A. Aziz saying, “Dad, please tell this world after my departure that your son was not a bad person”. Majid left his parents, brothers and their families in great grief. His funeral was attended by hundreds of his friends, colleagues and relatives. He was laid down in DHA Lahore Graveyard by famous poet/columnist Mr. Khalid Masood Khan. May Allah bless his soul in Jannah. Amin!
