It was the movie Deewana دیوانہ)) in early 90’s that introduced the most popular hero of the Bollywood to the entire world. Shahrukh Khan (SRK) was not the main hero but Rashi Kapoor was performing with late Divia Bharti. Shahrukh made his entry close to the interval, but he got the fame that people dream to get.
SRK is the most successful hero of the Indian film industry. His acting is liked by millions of his fans across the world. Many of his movies set new records. He has received Indian Filmfare Best Actor award many times. His super hit movies include Dil Walay Dulhaniya…., Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hay, Dil Tou Pagal Hay, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Muhabbatain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Karan Arjun, Chak De India, Devdas, Veer-Zaara, Don (remake), Om Shanti Om and Rab Ne Bana Dee Jorri. Whereas his acting in movies like Darr, Raam Janay, Chahat and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa; was also commendable.
SRK has performed against the evergreen Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan and has proved that his acting skills are just wonderful. He always performs his roles with true justice and is given the title of King Khan. Unlike Aamir Khan, SRK is a social person by nature and is seen in all major events either hosting or attending them. He recently has been awarded by the government of France as well. An international magazine has declared him as one of the top 50 most influential personalities in the world. We wish him a great success in his upcoming projects.
Iffat Omer performed extra ordinary in a Geo TV Play 28 Mar 2009

I usually don’t watch TV Dramas (plays) but on Thursday I turned on Geo TV around 8:00 pm. It was a single episode play Libaas (لباس) being telecast. Iffat Omer was performing the role of a house wife, who had been having a 5 year married life with her husband Faisal Rehman. The couple had no child. Faisal’s mother was told by the couple that Iffat was incapable (medically unfit) of conceiving a child. The truth was that in original Faisal was medically unfit. However in order to keep his respect, Iffat had requested him not to tell the fact to anyone including her monther in law.
Faisal’s mother had only one son and wanted to see him having kids, so she asked her friend to find some girl for his son so that he can marry her as a secomd wife and they can have their kids. Faisal at this pointed tried to tell the truth to her mother, but Iffat did not agree to do so.
Later, an accident happened and two robers entered their home when Faisal was out on a tour. One of them raped Iffat. She went into great depression. Her mother in law and Faisal also showed strange behaviour towards her and stopped talking to her.
Iffat got pregnant all of a sudden. Her mother in law did not know about her son’s medical condition so she thought that it was his baby in her womb. However both husband and wife knew the reality. At this stage Faisal’s mother gave a harsh ruling that he must have divorced Iffat without any delay as she had become fouled after the rape incident. Iffat, though totally depressed, suggested her husband that she would like to quit if it was their wish. However she suggested him that the born kid must hava been kept by Faisal so that he would face no embarassement in front of his mother and new wife.
At this point, Faisal broke up and shouted in front of his mother that he was responsible for not having kids. He added that Iffat had kept this secret for seven years and after that now it was his duty to keep her secret for the whole life and give his name to the child.
It was a very good story written by Syed Wasi Shah and Iffat’s performance was just awesome. She showed that she has a real talent of acting. We wish her a good career ahead.
Indian Premier League going to South Africa 25 Mar 2009

Finally Indian government and Cricket Board have also shown their failure against the suspected terror attacks and they have shifted IPL to South Africa, where it will be played from 18th April 2009.
This action is not good for the South Asian Cricket as Pakistan and Bangladesh already are facing the security concerns due to which India was the only safe place considered for hosting international players.
Recently their government showed concerns due to the occurance of Indian General Elections in the tournament scheduled dates. South Africa and England showed their interest in hosting this T-20 event and IPL management agreed to arrange the tournament in South Africa. Meanwhile Pakistan and Australia are agreed to play their one-day series in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 22nd April.
It shows that in the future our teams will have to go out for playing Cricket and our stadia will remain empty of players and spectators.

Pakistani nation celebrates 23 March in the memory of Resolution of Pakistan, which was passed on the same date in 1940, near present Minar-e-Pakistan (مینار پاکستان) in Lahore today. Today nation is celebrating the 69th anniversary of this important milestone that laid the first brick in the independence of Pakistan in 1947. Today, we are proud to tell the whole world that our people are aware of the independent judiciary and they have struggled hard for this great cause. We are proud for having people like Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Aetzaz Ahsan, Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and many others who led the people of Pakistan in the war against the unjust.
Pakistan has to go a far ahead of it. With this spirit, that day is not too far when our great country will have a much better system and there will be no corruption in any part or area of the country. People will not fight with each other and will love the Army. They will think positively and will think well before saying anything that may create some issue.
Long Live Pakistan!!!!
Dubai Metro: An amazing project 19 Mar 2009

These days I am working on Dubai Metro project. The project will ease the traffic flow in Dubai and roads will experience less traffic as compared with the present situation. Amazing fact about this project is that the trains will be driver-less. There are two main lines: Green Line and Red Line. A consortium named as DURL (Dubai Rapid Link) has been formed for carrying out the construction of the tracks, depots and stations. The Metro will start operating from 9-09-09. After this service, Dubai will attract more tourists as they will enjoy the sight seeing in a relaxed (without experiencing traffic jams) manner.
Lahore’s great people won the war… 17 Mar 2009

It was 15th March 2009. Lawyers’ Long March was not going successful as very few lawyers could have come to Lahore from Sind, Balochistan and Multan due to the blocking of highways from the Federal Government. President, Supreme Court Bar Association Mr. Ali Ahmad Kurd with his fellow lawyers was sent back from the border of Sind-Balochistan to Quetta. Next day he tried to board on a PIA flight for Islamabad, but was off-loaded by the airport management.
Many political leaders and workers got arrested by the Government. On the other side, Islamabad and Rawalpindi were sealed and all entry points were blocked. At this time, PML-N Chief, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, whose residence was also surrounded by too many police officials, showed great courage and came out of his residence taking risk of imprisonment. He got over whelming response from the people of Lahore and thousands of people immediately came out on the roads for supporting their great leader in his fight for the rule of law in this country. Police officials also started supporting Mr. Sharif and gave way to his increasing convoy.
Leader of the lawyers, Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan also came out of his residence with a large number of lawyers and joined the rally of Mr. Nawaz Sharif. The convoy got increasing after the joining of people from all the corners of Lahore. People came out on their vehicles and many of them even joined the Long March by walking. They included men, women, old people and children. People of Lahore put a life in the dead Long March. When this rally reached Gujranwala, Prime Minister, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani got clear indication that what in the mind of people was. He appeared on national television and addressed to the nation. He announced the restoration of the deposed judges immediately. After his announcement, people started celebrating their success in a peaceful manner and Nawaz Sharif announced to finish the Long March.
I salute to the people of Lahore on this great achievement. They proved that if there is a will, there is a way. They showed their full support to the lawyers and politicians fighting for the independent judiciary in Pakistan. Lahore is also proud for its sons and daughters like Aitzaz Ahsan, Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Dr. Israr Ahmad, Dr. Javed A. Aziz, Jawad Ahmad, Abrar ul Haq, Asima Jehangeer, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Amjad Islam Amjad, Mustansar Hussain Tarrar, Shoaib Hashmi, Dr. Saleema Hashmi and many more.
Long live Lahore – Long live Pakistan!
President Zardari: Second Musharraf for Pakistan 14 Mar 2009

True analysis of the present PPP led government will not surprise anyone if it is regarded as a sequential of Musharraf government. President Zardari is considering himself as a superpower and thinks that he can do anything at anytime without being answerable to anyone. This is the same attitude that brought the worst disrepute for Musharraf in 8 years. Unfortunately, Zardari did not learn any lesson from his predecessor and brought himself in the same position in just a year after getting the power. He is being fooled by his fellow advisors and ministers including Mr. Rehman Malik, Mr. Farooq Naik, Mr. Salman Taseer, Ms. Shazia Murree and Mr. Babar Awan. Prime Minister Gillani is facing lot of criticism for his silence over Zardari’s worst policies. Zardari has always spoken lie openly. He promised to restore the 1973 constitution and remove the 17th amendment, but after sitting on the seat of president, he refused to do so. He also had signed agreement with Nawaz Sharif for restoring the deposed judges including the Chief Justice Iftikhar, but he declined to do thiso as he fears that after his restoration, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry would declare the NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) illegal and Zardari would be asked to bring his money back into Pakistan from the Swiss banks. Zardari, earlier in an interview, said that his promises were just for the political goals and they must not have been taken as the words of Quran or Ahadeeth (sayings of Prophet Muhammad-pbuh). PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has emerged as a real mature politician at this time. He has pledged to support the lawyers’ movement and has got maximum popularity among the people of Pakistan. PML-Q has also started rethinking about their merger with Zardari’s hijacked PPP, because this decision can bring them into a pitiful situation that they cannot afford at this time. Now Zardari has blocked the transmission of Geo TV all over Pakistan, just like Musharraf. As a protest to this Information Minister Ms. Sherry Rehman resigned from her post. Mr. Raza Rabbani has already resigned. This shows that Zardari is losing the game. He also has ordered police to capture lawyers, and political workers and leaders to fail the Long March but the March has already been declared as successful as government fears from its consequences. Yesterday (13 March 2009) Chief of Army Staff, General Ishfaq Kiani also met both President and Prime Minister for advising them to resolve the present issues, but Zardari did not agree to do so, and now each eye is focussed towards General Kiani that what he would do.
Long March is coming again!!!! 10 Mar 2009

After the disqualification of Sharif Brothers from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, now PPP government is trying its best to form provincial government in Pakistan. For this purpose, its members like Rehman Malik, Babar Awan, Manzoor Wattoo and others are busy in doing the horse trading. They have contacted Chaudhries in Punjab for this purpose so that with their cooperation they could get the necessary number of candidates for making the government.
On the other side PML-N has rejected PPP’s offers and they are going to take part in the Lawyers’ long march on 15-16th March 2009. Imran Khan and Qazi Hussain Ahmad also have shown their keen interest in taking part in the long march and sit-in till the restoration of deposed judges including Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Therefore coming days will bring a crucial turn in the political history of Pakistan. Zardari has lost his reputation and US magazines and journals are criticising him for taking unreasonable steps. Senior PPP Senator, Mr. Raza Rabbani has resigned from his ministership and leader of the house in Senate designation. This is a big blow for Zardari.
Lets hope that people fighting for the independence of judiciary will succeed in their mission.

Attack on Sri Lankan Cricket Team 4 Mar 2009

3 March 2009: A black day for the Cricket and also for Pakistan. Sri Lankan Cricket team in Lahore was coming to the Qaddafi Stadium from their hotel to play on the 3rd day of the second test match against the host Pakistan. When their bus reached the Liberty Roundabout, just about 700 metres away from the stadium, unknown terrorists appeared and opened the fire on the bus and petroling Police squad.
Inspite of the unrest security condition in Pakistan, no specific measures were taken by the security enforcing agencies to avoid such bad incident that has put Pakistan in a big problem as now no international players will come to Pakistan. Five policemen and three other died in the attack. Five Sri Lankan players got injured but luckily survived their lives. This is really shameful for all Pakistani nation that our guests have been attacked, which is against the Islamic traditions. Guests have to be respected and protected.
Now investigation are in the way as due to big security lapse, all nine or ten terrorists escaped after firing. They were carrying rocket launchers and klashenkoves. They used motorcycle and rickshaw as their transport vehicles. It is the time for our government to find these terrorists at any cost. They must be hanged in front of public so that all others can get a clear message that no terrorisn will be allowed in Pakistan at any cost. Also all the political parties must come together by putting their differences aside to help the government at this critical stage…
