Goodbye 2008, Welcome 2009

31 Dec 2008 · Leave a Comment

200831st December 2008, last day of the year……..

Another year is departing and a new year is coming with new hopes and expectations. On start of every new year we think that world will change. There will be no war, no more killings, no hunger, no more earthquakes, no more dirty politics, blah, blah blah……

2008 can be regarded as a year of change. In Pakistan, Musharraf left the president house and new democratic government took the charge. But now we can easily see that there is no change in the situation, rather the situation got worse. Chief Justice of Pakistan and Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan could not get justice. Law and order situation detiriorated further. Our relations with our neighbour India also got effected after Mumbai attacks.

Similarly very high inflation, increasing crimes and too long load shedding also affected country in a vwery bad manner. In USA, a major change came when first black American Barak Hussein Obama won the presidential election. His victory was welcomed worldover. Outgoing US President George W. Bush had to face an embarrassing situation in Iraq during his last official visit when an Iraqi journalist threw his shoes on the American President and also called bad name. Bush escaped the attacks but one of the shoes hit US flag behind President Bush.

In the last week of 2008, Israel attacked Gaza (Ghaza) and killed more than 300 innocent Palestinians. These attacks are still going on. Palestians’ independence movement Hamas has announced that these attacks will be replied. So this is really sad that poor Palestinians will welcome 2009 under fire….. UNO and other countries have asked Israel to stop the attacks but all in vain.

I wish that 2009 bring prosperity and happiness for every good humanbeing who believes in love, faith and humanity. I also wish that Pakistan could come out of the crises in the new year. Allah bless us with UNITY, FAITH and DISCIPLINE…Amin!

Wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Israeli rascals killing innocent Palestinian Muslims

29 Dec 2008 · 2 Comments

Burning Ghaza

Burning Ghaza

Now I can very easily understand why Quran has told us not to make friendship with the Jews. Israel is the worst country in this world. Recently they have started killing poor and innocent Palestinian people again. They are throwing bombs on Ghaza, which is a populated area. They are targetting ‘Hamas’ according to their statement but have killed more than 300 innocent people in just two days.

Palestinians and other Muslims are protesting allover the world. UNO has also condemned this act of brutality…but all in vain…. Whole world got concerned when Mumbai was attacked a few days back because India is a non-Muslim state, but nobody takes serious action when its matter of Muslims. I am sure that insha Allah time will come when Israel will be desolved and they will not able to collect their dead bodies even.

WE HATE ISRAEL……..

Death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto

1st death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto

1st death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto

Today its 27th December 2008. One year passed after Benazir’s assassination on the same date last year. She was indeed a courageous leader who came to her country inspite of death threats. She played a vital role in the restoration of democracy and it was she who compelled Musharraf to put off his uniform.

Unfortunately she could not see the democratic government of PPP and left this world. Pakistan Peoples Party got benefit due to her shahadat and won the elections. After getting the power PPP forgot her message and did not restore the judiciary, which was a commitment of brave Benazir Bhutto-Daughter of the east. Today her party is losing its respect and value as people leading PPP are not sincere with the country and its citizens at all. They have not leant lessons from their past and this is the worst time in the history of Pakistan that the inflation rate is at its peak and we are getting war threats from India. All the country is suffering the worst loadshedding. If Benazir would have survived, Pakistan could be in a much better condition today as she was a real genius who had a vision. We pray to Allah Almighty for being kind with her soul.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Today (25 December 2008 ) is Christmas and it is being celebrated allover the world. I have just landed in Dubai from Lahore after availing my annual vacation. Sitting in my office, as it is a working day in UAE, I was thinking what to write after a short cum long break. Christmas is a real great festival that is not celebrated only by the Christians, but other people also celebrate this event. For example my little daughters, who don’t know much more about religions as they are too young, were anxiously waiting to see the Christmas tree at the Dubai Airport. They were asking me that when they would get their gifts from Santa Clause. I really loved their feelings for this festival and its related things.

In my opinion, we can spread love in this world by telling our kids good things about other faiths and their believers. I wish all my readers a very warm Christmas as this day is celebrated as the birthday of Jesus Christ (Hadhrat Issa A.S), who is a great Prophet of Allah (SWT) and will come again according to Bible and Quran. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also prophesised about his arrival before the judgement day. We must congratulate our Christian friends on this great day and tell them that we are against any terrorism and believe in the teachings of both great Prophets of Allah.

Iraqi journalist throws shoes on President Bush

Shoe attack on US President

Shoe attack on US President

Yestaerday US President George W. Bush was holding a press briefing along with Iraqi Prime Minister in Baghdad, where he arrived a short ago to pay his last visit before leaving the White House.

While President Bush was on the rosterm and was giving the briefing, an Iraqi journalist Muntazir Al Zaidi threw his shoe on him. President Bush escaped the attack by moving his head suddenly.

Soon after this attack before any action by the security staff, the journalist threw his second shoe on the President Bush. President escaped this as well. Security personnel immediately gathered and grabbed the journalist, who was taken into custody.

The jouranalist declared his act as a gift on President Bush’s departure from the White House. This act was condemned by the Iraqi government, whereas people protested to release the journalist. President Bush gave a funny statement by saying that shoe had a size of ‘number 10′. Its a matter of serious concern for US government that they have no support in Iraq. Thrown shoes hit US flag on the back and did not touch the Iraqi flags having Muslim Kalma on them.

Worst Inflation in Pakistan

8 Dec 2008 · Leave a Comment

We landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore on the morning of 3rd December 2008. I was very happy to see my family after a period of 10 months. In the next two days my happiness got vanished as I visited a famous bakery in DHA Lahore for purchasing a 2 pound non-cream chocolate cake. It costed me Rs. 280. Its price was Rs. 180 in February 2008. Then when I got my car filled with gas it costed me Rs. 308, whereas I used to pay around Rs. 190 for the same amount of gas in February. Me and my brother tried to get a goat for sacifying on Eid-ul-Dhuha. Last year people were unhappy as the goat was available at about Rs. 6500-7000. This year I came to know that price for the similar type of goat is about Rs. 13,000.

I am afriad to see the extremely high inflation in Pakistan. All products are very expensive now and life has become too much tough here. On the other hand our government has no attention towards this very serious issue and our cabinet size has beaten all the records. VIP culture is prevailing. Rich are getting richer and poor are getting deprived from the very basic necessaties like milk, bread and transportation. Allah may help us otehrwise I fear that a riot can break anytime which will not be controlled by our sleeping rulers.

George Michael rocked Abu Dhabi

It was 1st December 2008, a night before 37th UAE National Day. Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi was set for the long awaited performance of Alicia Keys and George Michael. Concert was attended by thousands of George Michael fans, who included Europeans, Asians and Arab nationals working and living in UAE. I also travelled from Sharjah to attend the concert.

George Michael - an amazing live artist!

George Michael - an amazing live artist!

Alicia Keys started the concert at 8:40 pm and she got great appreciation by the audience. Especially the way she played live grand piano was just awesome. Her hit song ‘Super Woman’ got maximum response. After her performance there was a break of about 1 hour during which the stage was totally changed and his musicians placed their instruments. Stage design was also changed and it gave a beautiful look. George Michael gave an amazing live performance. He sang his superhit songs including ‘Careless whisper’, ‘Faith’, ‘Jesus to a child’, ‘Father figure’, ‘Freedom’ and ‘Dont let the sun go down on me’. I enjoyed the concert very much as I was dancing very close to him with UK citizens who enjoyed the concert in a great way. Discipline was just appreciable and all the audience paid great attention to keep the environment peaceful.
